Warm regions are the evidence the classifier actually used. On this corpus the frame-wise model puts about 1.8× more of that evidence inside the pubic symphysis and fetal head than a random region of equal area would collect — so it is reading anatomy, not scanner furniture.
Stage two — where is the anatomy?
A U-Net trained on the dataset's pubic-symphysis and fetal-head masks will outline both structures. It is a second model, so it is fetched only when you ask for it.
